The Residential Re-entry Center (RRC), also referred to by many as a halfway house, is designed to provide assistance to federal inmates who are nearing release. The RRC, under contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) provides a safe, structured, supervised environment, as well as employment counseling, job placement, financial management assistance, and other programs and services designed to assist residents to rebuild their ties to the community and facilitate their re-entry to the community.
Director of Residential Re-Entry Center
The Director is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the RRC program to ensure compliance with all Volunteers of America and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) standards. The Director of RRC develops and implements treatment plans for each client in accordance with Agency protocol and in compliance with the Federal Bureau of Prisons? Program Plan.
Essential Job Responsibilities
?Manage the operations of the RRC including its home confinement component in accordance with agency, BOP, and any other applicable standards.
?Ensure all procedures adhere to agency and BOP standards, make upgrades and provide training as necessary.
?Provide supervision to staff including the case manager and public safety officers.
?Ensure the delivery of high quality services and the achievement of program outcomes
?Screen all client referrals for placement and conduct regular reviews of all cases and files that are be supervised by the center, both residents and home confinement cases.
?Ensure that Center Disciplinary Hearings are held in a timely manner and in accordance with BOP standards.
?Ensure maximum utilization of all facility bed space and home confinement resources.
?Coordinate and hold monthly meetings of the Community Re-Entry Advisory Board (CRAB).
?Participate in community collaborations that focus on re-entry efforts.
?Other duties as required.
Job Requirements
?Bachelor?s degree in social/behavioral science required or criminal justice degree preferred. Master?s preferred.
?Two-years of work experience in related field; Correctional Management or similar experience, with at least one-year experience in supervision; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
?Ability to pass background checks, such as NCIC/NLETS, prior to start.
?Excellent organizational and communication skills a must.
?Clean NYS driver?s license.
?Proficient is MS Office Suite
